Acolytes - Children eight years and older are encouraged to be acolytes, not only to provide their necessary service as part of the liturgy but, just as important, to give them greater understanding of our Church’s most solemn and important act, the Holy Eucharist. Acolytes who distinguish themselves by length of service and by mastering the range of activities of their order are given special recognition as Companions of the Cross. See a member of our clergy for more information. Altar Guild members are central to our worship. They care for the altar linens, vestments and Eucharistic vessels. They prepare the Sanctuary for all regular services as well as special services such as baptisms and weddings. A glossary of terms is here.
