Text Box:
We are transitioning...to a bi-monthly newsletter!
We are planning to reduce our mailing costs by shifting to a parish newsletter published electronically and/or mailed twice a month rather than weekly. The newsletter will continue to carry all the current news and the new format will allow for occasional longer articles about music offerings, outreach opportunities, and parish events.

We expect to make this change in publishing effective APRIL 1st.

REMINDER to everyone:  please remember to use caution when driving through the parking lot during the week and on Sunday mornings, taking extra care to watch for our precious little ones.  Thank you.

RUMMAGE SALE RECAP The ECW would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of our parish for their generous donations for without them, we would not have grossed $3,000 and then be able to turn around and donate $2,000 to our general operating fund at Transfiguration.
Also, to those of you who gave of your precious time and labor for the hours leading up to and including the day of the sale, a WHOPPING THANK YOU.
Sincerely,
The ECW Woman's Board

DONATIONS FOR EASTER LILIES are $8.00 and interested persons can see Linda Hughes on Sunday, call her at (626) 438-8173 and leave a message, or email her at imlhughes@gmail.com or imlhughes@yahoo.com.

LENTEN FORUMS WILL CONTINUE MARCH 14 AND 21 with photographs and commentary from the Rector's January Pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The trip began in the Galilee, and then moved on to Bethlehem and Jerusalem and the surrounding area. Please join us at 9:15 for a virtual tour and discussion.

PRIME TIMERS will take a tour of the His Lai Temple in Hacienda Heights on Saturday, March 13th.  The cost of admission and lunch is $9.00.  We will carpool from the church parking lot at 9:15 a.m.
Also…
Tickets are now on sale for the play “SQUABBLES” at the Glendale Centre Theatre on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.  We will carpool from the church parking lot at 1:30 p.m.  Tickets cost $18.00 and must be purchased no later than April 1st or they will be returned.  Please make out your check to the church with a memo “Prime Timers” and give it to the church office or to Harvey Wyma. Those interested will have dinner after the show.

FOOTHILL UNITY CENTER provides vital assistance to help those in crisis to become self sufficient. A majority of their clients are children or seniors -- people who are the most vulnerable and least able to help themselves.
Therefore, please bring to the church donation basket travel-sized toiletries (soap, lotion, shampoo, etc.); protein-rich foods, jars of peanut butter, canned tuna, stews, chili, canned fruit, SpaghettiOs, etc.; dry box entrees (such as Mac & Cheese); single-serving flip-top cans of tuna, Spam, Vienna sausages, etc.; as well as your clean, gently used (recycled) plastic bags for packing items.  And, as a reminder, your check placed in the donation box on the cart handle is also very much appreciated.  Thank you!

OUTREACH FOR HAVEN HOUSE  Lent is Haven House season, when we seek to provide for the women and children who have fled from domestic abuse situations, and are receiving shelter as they prepare for new lives free of suffering.
