Daring to dream

Transfiguration's Mission Statement:

With God’s help, our mission is to provide a place of worship, where,
by the power of the Holy Spirit, people can experience the love of God in Christ, and, as a family, make ourselves and others feel visible and needed
through worship, education, and outreach, while embracing diversity and maintaining tradition."

We are an alive and active liturgically oriented congregation.  While we respect the past, we seek the Spirit's guidance as we  go into the future, challenged and moved by our times

.We are a member of the Episcopal Church through the our local Episcopal Diocese in Los Angeles and the National Episcopal Church of the United States.  Both our Los Angeles Diocese and our national church are part of the Worldwide Anglican Communion.

As a congregation we are dedicated to worship, education and outreach.  Our clergy are connected collegially through our local Deanery Five of the Los Angeles Diocese.  We are also involved through local ecumenical and interfaith groups and our local outreach ministries.

Over the years Transfiguration has played its part in the community around us.  And as the times have changed, so have we.  But that has never taken us away from the roots of a tiny chapel that was moved from East Los Angeles to Arcadia to bring a little bit of faith; a little bit of joy and our Episcopal identity to this place where God has found us.

Come and be a part of the miracle!

The congregation of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, Arcadia, California.
